Update: 91-Year-Old Man Seriously Injured After Hit At Boston Intersection

A 91-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a car while crossing a crosswalk in Boston, authorities said.

Police responded to the incident at the intersection of Morton Street and West Seldon Street in Dorchester around 9:39 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, Massachusetts State Police said. 

Initial investigation determined the man was hit by a 62-year-old Dorchester man who was crossing Morton Street, police said. 

Multiple crews were the on scene including, Live Boston tweeted, and the area was shut down for several hours while authorities cleared the scene.

The victim was taken to Beth Israel Hospital, where he remains in critical condition, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
